These are bells on belts or string for Indian dancing. The list is extensive: Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kathakali and Odissi to name but a few from the list recognised by Sangeet Natak Akademi and the Ministry of Culture.

These bells ‘are’ the stories of Radha Krishna in dance form. A Bharatnatyam Ballet is exquisite, innocent, playful and charming, a part of Indian culture for centuries. Its beauty lies in not just its costume but in the subtle nuances of the hand movements and intricate steps. These bells speak to the audience and to the dancer. A symphony of the whole body. This is story telling with heart and soul.

Over the years we have been encouraged and so moved to see this cultural dance flourish in the west and to see our young dancers grow up and take the grace of this artistry into their lives. We are humbled by your bringing of this artistry to life.
